When PreSonus Audio Electronics introduced the StudioLive Series III SE Digital Mixers in July 2025, it marked a major advancement in networked audio. Featuring Milan-certified AVB I/O, these new mixers are part of a broader ecosystem-wide update that brings time-sensitive, interoperable cross-brand audio networking to a total of 15 distinct product variants—including stage boxes, monitor mixers, rack mixers, consoles, and a Milan-to-Dante format converter.

At the core of this transformation is JOYNED’s AVB Switch Software AS1 and Milan Software XM2, providing the protocol foundation for seamless Milan integration across PreSonus’s professional audio lineup.

Making Milan Possible—With the Hardware Already in Place

A key highlight of this collaboration was PreSonus’s ability to achieve Milan compliance using their existing hardware designs. JOYNED’s software was adapted to integrate with PreSonus’s architecture, enabling deterministic, low-latency, and fully standards-compliant audio networking—without the need for hardware changes.

Through our AVB Bridge Stack and Milan Stack, PreSonus products now support:

• Precise time synchronization and low-latency AVB transport, incl. jitter elimination and no sync offset build-up
  
• Stream reservation and routing per Milan requirements, incl. power-cycle robust memory
  
• Full support for Milan’s entity model and ATDECC-based device discovery and control
  
• Interoperability, seamless connectivity and operation across all Milan-certified systems and products - even 3rd party products thanks to open standard.
